Hello,

I appreciate the post!

Forgive my naivety, but how could this work with an M1 Mac? I tried the above but to no avail.

Thank you in advance.

Nobody here cares - this forum is about Macs that are 20 years old or more. Good luck though.

This hack is for a previous version of PACE that ran on Mac OS9. PACE (the makers of the iLok), have gotten a bit more sophisticated since then. However, by employing a proper iPatch it is still possible to circumvent their activities, but you wont likely find that information here.

I wouldn't say no one cares. There are likely more than a few people that frequent this local that also have newer machines.  8)

hola !

new here, so after installing mac os 9 lives on my powerbook G4
i wanna install some old soundwise practical plugins of course

i'm not sure, i read it in this topic, but to use the interlok reset trick
(the graphics seem to be in Mac OS 9, no ?) must one have the plugins in
Mac OS 9 & in Mac OS X (<= 10.3 Panther) like in the attachment, or am i confusing
different methods ?

I just installed OS X 10.3 Panther developers edition, only circa 600Mb ( the iso)
especially to use the OS 9 - OS X 10.3 interlok reset trick, but tbh
if i can just stay in Mac OS 9 , that would be awesome ...

in OS9 just go and do it manually (it is deleting one invisible folder).

but the number of products where it works AND where it is neccessary is around 5 or 6.
