Just bought one, and i'm quite happy with it.
It is compatible from OS 8.6 and 9 to the last osx i think. As the drivers for OS9 were not anymore on their site i asked for and they are now downloadable here : http://forums.contourdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6287

It is not midi, it emulates keystrokes. It works fine on ProtoolsLE 5.1 and OS 9.2.2 on a G4 QS, reactivity is good.
You can also save different settings for different apps via a control panel and then it switches automatically afterwards.

I got one. Use it with pretty much any app i can think of. Combustion,fc,avid,photoshop and so on
