Hmmmm...typed message and it disappeared when attaching a pic. So no pic as yet.
Help please
Clamshell 366mhz
Mac OS9.2.2
Non firewire
All it does is boot open firmware
Tried resets....et

Did you open the ibook? Since you dont have a firewire you might have to use a tower to install a os on that drive.

Insert a cd/dvd and hold down the option key when you start the lappy. Select the cd and try it.

Can you get your hands on one of these sonnet cards with a 2.5 hd hookup n the pci card? Install it in a desk and then put your os n it and then back in the lappy.

i had the same thing happen to me with my g3 before
it was caused by a disk IO card not being inserted 100% down in the slot

i would guess you have some type of loose connection prbably the disk drive
