what about the TC Native reverb? .. tc is the one with the compressor that doesnt work for sidechain because of the bug right?? or am i thinking of waves..
the reverb should be ok tho ?

Yes it is.
The TC Reverb is my chosen one, ( the native and the Power Core version ) ...

For Reverb in PT5: Digidesign D-Verb, KOL RealVerb and Waves Renaisance Reverb. Delay Waves Supertap6 and all the Digidesign :Slap, short, sample, medium, mod and long delay.

On Logic 4.x : Waves Rverb, PianoVerb and the Logics ones: Platinum Verb and the family.
also, what about WAVES? dont they have a good reverb plugin?
Waves has for OS9 2 good reverbs. TrueVerb and my favourite, Renaissance. They both sound great. Later IR-1, but I am not sure if Waves 4, the latest for OS9 AFAIK, includes it. I just use the Waves 3 pack.
also, what about WAVES? dont they have a good reverb plugin?

probably...

But I don't use Waves plugins ,because I think shell concept is a very bad thing, it introduces a warp adapter ( the shell ) at Waves convenience, not users, adding a level of software complexity that must be avoided, unless you don't have any alternatives ...
For Audio, most of the best tools for the engineer comes from Waves. I had time of hate on them, but they always come back to projects, just because there are no comparable tools to most of theirs plugs

yamaha rev7 - late 80s.. anyone ever used one of these?
My oldest was a Yamaha SPX-90 mk 2 and a SPX-900.

Shorts periods with SPX-990. A digitech bluerack unit (S-100).

Also, the best live one I tested Lexicon PCM-70

On Studio the best one I heard are the TC black System 6000 with the remote and  the Lexicon L480.

agreed . delay is present on most popular recordings.. its a must have for any good record!

http://www.musicradar.com/reviews/tech/roland-re-201-space-echo-23669/
i wonder how good this 2008 UAD remake of the space echo is

Ohm Force makes some reverb/delay plugin too i think
its called "OhmForce OhmBoyz"

pretty sure there is a mac os 9 version of it!

If you produce electronic bases, MPC is a good tool (I prefer a piano, anyway). My yamaha RX-8 is a 12 pad with no aftertouch or velocity. I trigger there sounds, but a sensible MPC  would be a better tool.

For a Engineer a Lexicon is a better tool than a MPC.

I thought you had a terratec or M-Audio midi keyboard-surface. I would go for the lexicon instead of the MPC.

I know MPC is legend for programming but I think it depend on how you learned to do (years ago  ;D) the layering on the base.

mpc is like many tools in one tho..
1-control surface (pads)
2-sampler (AD converter has compression + processing built in to make the samples sound great)
3-sequencer (u can make a track without any daw)
4-drum machine

great for resampling and building samples by combining + layering samples etc and then programming on the pads

u can use it as sequencer isntead of a daw
but most importantly the finished product has a certain feel  + swing to it compared to using a computer

i have a sampler tho.. and i have a sequencer.. many differnt ones actualy :D
but i dont have a really good compressor or a really good reverb..
i would like a joemeek twinq compressor or a dbx160 + a pcm 42/70/80/91 then i would be happy;)
im sure theres other options but thats what i know so far

u can use it as sequencer instead of a daw

You can use an ATARI ST or an Amiga or even a C'64 as a sequencer

Voyetra...

The important is to make music with the tools you had instead on wanting every tool. I talk for my own experience

In 1988, Alesis Corp. introduced the original QuadraVerb, a music effects processor capable of four simultaneous effects in multiple configurations. Since then have been introduced:
QuadraVerb Plus,
QuadraVerb GT guitar effects Quadraverb Q2
Quadraverb Q20.

this page says the quadraverb dates back to 1988

this guy must really love his quadraverb!!!

System Requirements:

ProTools 4.0 software or later
Each instance of LexiVerb reverb requires a single DSP Farm ª chip for operation (there are four on a Digidesign DSP Farm)

I think there were a OS9 version on AudiEase Altiverb.

Yes, there was up to v 2.1.3 for OS 9 ...
It is the only Impulse response reverb for Mac Os 9, I think.
You guys are getting lost in the weeds. Too many uploads. It's right under your noses.

That talk was before the Altiverb appeared. Check dates!

I said "Altiverb" and It magically appeared on downloads 1 or 2 days later. I feel like Midas King!   ;D

Please, do not show our downloads links just for members openly for google bots to snapshot us.

It is ok to link to the post, but not the Adrive link
