Hi!

Im having some trouble getting some of the VSTi's im using to find it's data files.
Groove Agent complains that it can't find the data files in the Cubase folder.

Problem is that im using Logic 6 and don't even have Cubase installed...

Is there any system variable to set so I can get it working?
Same problem with LM4.

Is is fixable, or do I have to put the files in a spoofed Cubase vstplugins folder to get it to work in Logic?

EDIT: Added a screenshot of the error. Can't find anything in the editor on how to change the data path either.

this is a question for the person who prepared the files..
but that person does not use logic;)

it might be that groove agent does not work with logic,

but as for LM-4, this plug-in does not ask for content, as long as no preset is opened. (and to change the path of presets, you can just edit the preset files with a text editor.)

I have the same problem with Waldorf Attack as well. Only two drumkits come up in the list. Must be something else im missing.

that must be something different.

do you open it as effect? then dont forget that it has more than two outs.

that is a typical steinberg situation. they forget about other host, and then deliver a fix in the form of an app which is comes without .app extension.

I have the same problem with Virtual Guitarist it seems....

I installed it, and when I add it to a channel in Logic and start it for the first time I get no sound at all. All the patches are called "Reinstall". Strange thing, according to the install instructions I should get a settings panel the first start so I can point to the data files.
I get no such panel at all. Tried to run a "content location fix" for Virtual Guitarist Electric edition, but It just crashed and hangs the machine.

Yea, that person use logic very much... but Emagic/Apple Logic... LOL.
There is a challenge still open:

Some of the software come from a good shape CD-ROM, but other come in a weird and untrusted way, from the outer limits of the known Internet, near the deep web...
When a file is posted in the downloads section most of the work was done.

I'll show you an example about what kind of work we have to do before post a file:

I know the answer. But it took me some time to find it.

VSTs are usually tested within Cubase. There is a lot of VST compatible apps, and is impossible to be tested each one. Logic is usually *very compatible* ...

Open the plugin preferences file with ResEdit and manually try fix the content location path...

I tried that. I get an error message that no resources are found...
