Steinberg Halion VST Sampler
Jakl:
[suspicious]It does both. You'll have to download the updates 203pb2 and install them with disk in drive. Do not install off disk.
Here try this in OS9. Check attached.[/suspicious]

Maybe.
I haven't big issues with Cubase VST 5 and Halion 1.1/2.0

a little update on this.. i just ran halion last nite on ableton live v4.14 and it worked 100% took about 12 seconds to load but after that worked great.. no latency nothing..... so whatever was happening before about freezing the whole computer + Requiring a reboot.. that was only under cubase vst 32 v5.x
not sure what was the reason but it didnt have this result last nite.. and its the exact same install because i havent reinstalled since the first time i tried
on this sawtooth 450mhz agp.

"Mac users need OS 9 on at least a 250MHz 604e with 128Mb of RAM, though a G3 or better is recommended

was halion one (v1.0) basically buggy on every platform?
ive had problems with it on pc aswell as on mac....
on the pc version if i press a few notes fast it stops making sound and then i have to remove the vst + readd it to get it to work again..that was in ableton.. and in cubase.. i got a complete crash saying that it made some type of error... on mac g4 os9 i remember it would lock my complete system..
so is the rule of thumb
halion 1 = dont even bother using it?
halion 2 = good to go?
