Praise for Protools5LEGuy!
« on: March 23, 2024, 10:26:58 PM »

When even a simple LIKE button isn’t enough…

Quote from: Protools5LEGuy
“I wrote a post 10 years ago about touchscreens…”
http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php?topic=1713.0

Now there’s a memory for you (and I can’t remember what I did two days ago).
Yet another fine example of Protools5LEGuy’s commitment and contributions.
And he’s only been around here since December of 2013.

AND perhaps yet another example of why the now missing onsite bookmarks feature was important to many of us. After posting 4422, 2732 or even a paltry 1410 posts - some of those posts solved perhaps more intricate & detailed problems (or provided other solutions) and they were more easily & quickly accessed and retrieved via the onsite bookmark feature. In addition, we also bookmarked others’ important posts & threads for easier reference & referral… when needed. (Or rather simply for personal reference.)

Example: Had to just now go searching for this: http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php?topic=1111.msg46466#msg46466 and this video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FilE69mtXY  [C’mon Knez & Sebastian, bring back the onsite bookmarks please.]

Now back to Protools5LEGuy:
Perseverance and positivity. Resourcefulness.
And not a… nattering nabob of negativity.

Digging around in the Forum stats, accessible here via a [More Stats] click, (noted at the bottom of the opening page) reveals that the mostly quiet and unassuming Protools5LEGuy definitely warrants recognition for his long-standing and on-going Forum contributions. Best way to get to know someone here is to read their back history of posts. Protools5LEGuy has always been most selfless, helpful and vigilant.

My old compadre IIO (member since 2014)… perhaps not-so-much.😁
I joke - as he often jokes & “inspires” tasks - like homework assignments.
So of course, the ‘nefarious’ IIO heads the list of Top 10 Posters.

•FdB, FBz and aBc combined, totaled a paltry 1410.

Then on to the Topic Starters. Protools5LEGuy, second again…
just below MacOS9Lives.com (DieHard’s ol’ administrative ID.)

And finally, Most Time Online. Protools5LEGuy is el Numero Uno.

Found this to be interesting - even as there’s no accounting for
actual content… those familiar with Protools5LEGuy’s postings
know he deserves both praise & accolades for his time & effort.
Certainly a serious bit of recognition here is definitely in order.

Onward!

While many here aren’t listed on these limited stats,
all contributors of the Forum are indeed appreciated.
So post more, start more topics and be more active.

You can check your own numbers via your Profile>Summary.
Then under Profile Info> Show Stats too. Check it out.
And you can check out other Forum members as well.

Example:

Random additional examples of Forum notables:
Knezzen:
68 topics started. Time Online: 23 days - 12 hours and 8 minutes

Bolkonskij:
25 topics started. Time Online: 3 days - 10 hours and 17 minutes

[All stats noted here, current as of March 20, 2024]

We can certainly expect that all stats will only increase in the coming days
with all the forward-thinking changes planned und initiated under Knezzen.

And once again, mucho kudos to Protools5LEGuy.

HUGE thanks indeed - from us all!

And please everyone, don’t just read this and allow it to be buried
under other posts. Instead, leave a comment of appreciation
in support of Protools5LEGuy. He deserves at least that!

As there’s currently no more “like” button.☹️

instead of raising our own online time we should rather attract new members.

Thanks for the heart melting words.

I am on the same boat!

Probably an effect of MacTron, Chris and DieHard moderating my comments at first.

Believe me, I have my dark side as we all. I wish to be as you describe me in real life. I can be a pretentious MF if the subject really touch me.

I was here online checking posts from DieHard, MacTron, IIO, Knez, GaryN and SuperNova before been Moderator and crashed on subjects with them and most users here. I have been lectured by everyone of them and since that tried my best behaviour, not always achieving it.

It was such a titanic effort to moderate me that they all surrender and gave me Moderator status!   ;D

Later I was put in charge to sort and condense info available, including having all Supernova posts fresh on memory and tried my best.  That is why I have spent ALL that time in forum. Putting the lines among that constelation of posts was something I could not do today.  :(  No regrets, but a good effort. I am sure Lives! users are gratefull to the full team.
