I have a Mac Mini G4 triple boot with Mac OS 9 atm. I’ve always used the OFW multi-boot command to boot into OS 9. It used to take minutes to load all the disks until I figured something out...

If I turn off then turn on my wireless Logitech keyboard multi-boot loads in less then a minute. Before it took about 5. As far as I can tell, the Mini was trying to see if the keyboard/mouse 2.4ghz USB was a HDD. By power cycling this prevented the long load.
