LACIE SCSI external CDR-RW not recognizing(locked)

LACIE Drive is showing up a "Locked" MATSHITACD ROMCR-8008
on the PowerMac 7600 in Silver Lining Lite
can't remember anymore if need special extensions for this CD drive
anyone have cognitive experience getting this type blue external CD mounting?
