OS8.1 preventing mount of CD on insertion

hi,
i want to prevent OS8.1 from trying to mount a scsi CD on insertion?  reason being is i want to access the drive from a SCSI sampler on the chain.  If i insert an AKAI disk into OS8.1 it tries to mount and asks me if i want to initialise - is there a way of preventing this?

To be clear,
I think I need to stop auto-mounting of the scsi CD on insertion.
