Building a TDM Setup in 2024
« on: May 25, 2024, 11:48:15 AM »

I have taken the deep plunge of getting into a Pro Tools TDM setup for my other G4 MDD Dual 1.42 machine.

What I have so far

Cards:
1 Mix Core
3 Mix Farms
2 DSP Farms

5 Node Cable (need to find a bigger one to fully utilize all the cards)

Interfaces
2X ADAT Bridges
888 Original
3 Interface cables

I have an External SeriTek SATA Enclosure and Card that I plan to use as a recording drive in lieu of SCSI. I have a 29160 SCSI card but didn't get that good of benchmarks compared to the SATA option.

Any and all tips in setup are greatly appreciated!

I use Logic 5/6/7/8 so I’ll take any advice on things to make things work as well as I can. It all helps.
