Funny Finder Behavior
« on: December 04, 2015, 03:18:07 AM »

Right now something happened that I have never seen before the last two decades with any of my Macs.

I got a zip file with some pdfs and unzipped it with Stuffit Standard 7.03 at my 9.2.2 G4. Subsequently I drag&dropped the files (with generic Icons) to the Acrobat Reader 5.05 Icon. And the Mac OS Finder started to copy the Files into the same folder – this time with PDF icons – before Acrobat Reader was launched and opened this copied files instead of the original ones.

Whats going on here? Any ideas?

It is not a real problem but a never before seen activity. ;)

I've had a similar experience a couple of time.  One of the times I rebuilt the desktop and all was good again.
The other times that didn't work and I had to do a re-install of the OS.
In both cases I never found out what the actual issue was or if there was another way to fix it.
But in the second case where I couldn't fix it I had been messing with moving stuff around n the system folder to try to break things.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, or break it so you can fix it!

My problem is 'breaking things' when I'm trying NOT to!! ;D ;D
