Yes, this is my old studio setup in the old studio, like two years ago.
Never had the Mackie 8-bus, always a Behringer MX8000. Picket it up for next to nothing.

I like it. It sounds dirty and really "colored". In a world where everyone seems to think that everything should sound as neutral as possible, I want to go the other way. It's the coloration of the sound that makes people use certain plugins in their DAWs, certain outboards in their studios etc.

Might be why I love the old Digidesign 888/24 as well. It colors the sound beautifully.

The old (gray) MX8000 is the one to go for if you want one. It's better built and don't have any "leakage" between the channels. It's not as prone to failure as the MK2 blue MX8000. Mine is a gray MX8000 with a blue meter bridge. Works like a charm. I have all my synthesizers plugged into it. All the busses plugged into a Digidesign 882/20, so I can record 8 tracks at once from the board :)

cool knez.. i was thinking of getting a mackie 8 bus..
was looking this behringer up earlier this week.. trying to find alternatives ..
i definately want an 8 bus.. but question is .. which??
some of the 8 bus mixers are HUGE i think this behringer is actually smaller then the mackie 8 bus
allen & heath + soundcraft 8 bus mixers seem to be quite large.. the mackie was the size of my desk i think around 55"
is it 32 tracks the one u have? or 24?
