found this important info re: sound blaster cards + pro tools free 5.01
(so important they HAD TO PUT IT IN CAPITOLS)
in the readme file http://akarchive.digidesign.com/support/docs/Pro_Tools_FREE_501_ReadMe.pdf



im not sure how this makes sense because i thought sound manager couldnt do 48khz and was stuck at 44.1khz
