OS 9 Wakeup Issues
« on: January 25, 2022, 11:21:49 AM »

Hi there!

I just bought a G4 867Mhz MDD tower to run my classic games and applications. After some finagling I was able to install OS9 alongside my 10.4 OS. It seems to work fine except that when the computer goes to sleep and wakes up it will freeze and doesn't resolve without force restarting. Has anyone else encountered this and found a solution?

Greetings Thelabyrinthmind and welcome!

Gratz on getting your hands on the G4 MDD, and great work on dual booting.
Please have a seat, while waiting for a technician to reply. Meanwhile here's some reading.

Does the freezing occur on Mac OS 9 or Mac OS 10.4 ?

What sort of RAM are you using in your machine, and also what speed is your CPU?
