The attached build would work on 10.2.x - 10.5.x, but the old compiler and old libraries were used, so 10.2.x - 10.3.x is better.

For any younger cat or Californian landmark please use the "Каталинка" build of 9.0.0b9 not this one.
The build in this topic will be ultimately in ROM, so I attach the mkext as well.
Once the new flash utility is done, there won't be any need to install this kext.
This build has no drive icon because that never worked from the ROM and we want to optimize the size anyway.

The mkext v. 9.0.x is smaller than the old one, be it from Silicon Image or FirmTek. And faster, much-much faster.
On reads it's roughly where Silicon Image is (minus the kernel panic). On writes it is twice as fast.

You probably need a newer OS to open this dmg. Inside is just the kext and mkext.
