a better idea if one HAS To access + utilize space on a USB drive
would be to connect the drive to another host computer (with a more "modern" os) that has a daemon that your macos9
computer can connect to via ethernet, for example a good example of this would be a PPC osx Leopard or a snow leopard box
that can share the files to the macos9 machine via Appleshare/AFP over TCP/IP because osx can fully utilize usb 2.0
yes it would be an amazing accomplishment if some developers could implement usb 2.0 on os9
in my mind it was a purely strategic move on steve jobs part to disallow usb2.0 to the classic mac os.
theres no reason why it couldnt support it, is there? the hardware is definately capable of read/write at usb2.0 speeds
and usb 2.0 dates back to (Apr 2000) - when u think about it, usb 2.0 should have been added/included/supported with the 9.1/9.22 updates
