Good hardware & software lives on
« on: September 11, 2016, 07:34:06 PM »

I currently have a G4 Dual 1,25Ghz MDD 1.5 gb OS 9.2.2 + 10.5.8 +  Mac Pro 4,1 Mavericks 480 gig SSD 10.9.5 + 2009 MacBook 10.9.5.

14 years ago I bought a Japanese domestic A3 Canon laser printer ( I live in Japan )  .. I'm still using this printer on all of the above Macs.

The genuine Canon replacement cartridges cost ¥40,000 ( US$ 390 ) but apart from the original cartridge I have bought just one recycled cartridge here for ¥4,500 and I get toner from the U.S. for a pittance.

This printer has become a part of the family.
I hate this push to always upgrade when in some cases it is largely unnecessary.
