Is the Digi001 (dec 1999) interface any good?
« on: July 14, 2014, 02:41:27 PM »

I have the opportunity to buy a digidesign 001 interface - card and box -
is it able to run in other software apart from protools LE or protools?
IOW Are there ASIO drivers for Cubase vst and logic pro?

i have a RME digipad in one of my macos9 machines are the converters similar to
digipad?

Any problems with drivers midi or audio?

Thanks for your help.

I now realize looking from older posts alot of this has been covered here:

It can run almost every software made for OS9...
In no way RME digipad are close to DIGI 001...The RME converters are considered "High End" while 001 converters are Low End
RME :::> Good     001...> bad    :o

If you can use the 001 with the A/D, the clock and the D/A from the DIgipad, you will have a kick-ass protools gig.
