my PowerBook does not have USB ports, so i'm looking forward to install a PCMCIA/Cardbus to provide some. i've read somewhere else that OS 9 is only OHCI compliant, so i wonder if installing this EHCI NEC card (http://www.dx.com/p/4-port-usb-2-0-pcmcia-expansion-card-for-laptops-14828#.U0f6Yy3Q-eU) could work. i really don't care about low 1.1 USB speeds, i just want to hook my mouse, UCA222 audio interface and evolution keyboard.

cardbus 32 should work its the exact equivelent as pci cards on a desktop system
u should be able to add firewire, sata, usb whatever u need
question is is it worth it when u might find a whole machine for cheaper then the upgrades;)

nah.. i'm emotionally attached to this one ;D
jokes aside, this card is actually cheap, the only problem is that it takes a couple of months to deliver.
chris, you gotta trust me, these powerbooks are quite rare here.
i myself never managed to find the pismos in "usable" conditions and the ones that are available are ridiculously priced.
just because there's an apple printed on them... go figure it. 8)
thanks for the support.
