Logic 5 and 6 has support. 1 proc for audio and 1 for midi said people in that years.
Protools 5 has no support. Avid recommend an extension (Powerbook fix) for multiproc. machines.

Avid recommend an extension (Powerbook fix) for multiproc. machines.

What the "fix" actually did was removing the multi processor extension from the extensions folder and reboot the computer. Nothing more.
So you can use the fix from avid/digidesign, or just remove the extension manually :P

With the extension active, the fans would spin up and down like they where on drugs and the computer would lock up when using Pro Tools.

Cubase VST 5.x has two modes of dual CPU support :
A) Multi−processing mode:  can increase just a modest 10% in dual CPU's Macs.
B) Advanced Multi−processing mode: can increase up 80% the overall computing power. But this mode −even I haven't fully tested it−  is easy to see that is very problematic with the most of plugins.
