for the first time i bought an USB 3.2 HD for use with something else than windows - it is planned for use with my network router.
now to the fun thing.
i didnt know for sure, but it was most likely that it is already FAT32 formatted.
so i attached it to an USB 2 port in windows, which did not recognize it.
then i attached it to the USB 1.1 in OS9 - which mounted the volume after 2 seconds and presented me a ready-to-use finder window.
then i attached it to OSX 10.4.11 PPC - where it took more than 2 MINUTES to make the disk finally appear in disc utility, right before i was about to cancel the attempt.
who again is the clear winner?

(mounting speed isn't transfer speed)
other than that the future is still catching up to 1999 :)
