just installed a fresh 80gb sata3 drive into my sawtooth....
connected to a sonnet tempo/firmtek type pci sata card with firmtek firmware
booted up osx tiger install dvd
erased + repartitioned my drive into 50/50 partitions
formatted as mac os extended (no journalling on either one)
installed osx tiger... updated to 10.4.11
installed carbon copy cloner
my partitions are 37gb each..
the data on my old 200gb drive from my os9 came up to be 26gb
so im running ccc for tiger and cloning the old disk to the new partition
fingers crossed!!

well carbon copy cloner is excellent software that makes 100% copy of a drive
ont a new partition.. as long as u dont copy to + From the drive when in osx u should be fine..
all my software is activated still as it was on the old drive.. the old drive is now
in a different computer and my g4 sawtooth doesnt know the difference;)
