Hi everyone,

I have just been given an iMac G3 tray loading in tangerine, minus the keyboard and mouse. It powers up and I’ve been able to connect a PC keyboard and mouse. It was loaded with macOS 8.6 so I installed 9.2.2 downloaded from here. When I run the Classilla browser, the G3 freezes after loading a webpage and selecting anything onscreen. Is this a memory issue?

The attached screenshot of the Apple System Profiler shows 32MB of RAM. Can it still be upgraded? What other upgrades are recommended? Can I get it to talk to my MacBook Air M4 over the LAN?

Thanks for any advice!

first step is to try a few other programs such as internetexplorer 5 or wamcom (the latest of the NS branch before classilla)

the problem sounds a bit like the classilla installation is imperfect. so you could also try to assign like 10% more than the default memory size to tha classilla app (command-I).
which is a wise step for many programs in MacOS. the "get info" stuff will be added to that specific file and wil survive copying or moving.

if it only happens with classilla you might want to reinstall it.
