Title: Jabbernaut Facebook login
Post by: Tosher on July 19, 2025, 04:12:03 AM
Hi everyone,

I was trying to connect my facebook account to jabbernaut so I can use it on my old mac. I'm a bit confused by the instructions within the Facebook login in the jabbernaut app. It says "If the URL to your Facebook page looks like this <https://facebook.com/john.doe> your username is "john.doe".". From what I can see my facebook page url looks like this: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=2938479823749 (not the actually number). So what would I put down for username?

Is this XMPP? I don't think that's worked with Facebook for over a decade now.

Like rvense said, it's been dead for a while now. We have a Jabber/XMPP server up and running if you'd like to use modern chat protocols with your old Mac. Facebook is one of the supported protocols.
