Title: Serial Number Search
Post by: aBc on July 10, 2025, 04:27:48 AM
Any particular reason(s) why we should continue to exclude (or blur out)
the actual serial numbers of these older machines from posts / images?

Especially now, after they’re all mostly twenty years old (or older).

[Just an old, deeply engrained habit?]

AppleSerialNumberInfo.com seems to return the most info from Apple S/Ns.
But restricted to searching two per 24 hour period. Unless you pay for more.
Recently paid for more — but never received confirmation or access codes.
So it took me four days to get info on seven different Mac minis.

Refund requested. ::)

I read somewhere that a real serial was needed for an Apple ID or iChat or some Mac OS or Apple Store.

A user gave a G3 serial, they laught but they allowed that thing.

Sorry, can´t remember more details.

Well, thanks.
That’s enough for me to only include portions of entire serial numbers.

And pretty funny at that, too. ;)
