Title: Castlewood Orb usb to scsi smart cable drivers for OS9
Post by: blaylok on April 28, 2025, 09:50:05 PM
Hi there,

I recently came across one of these and would like to get it working with OS9

I tried downloading the driver from macintosh repository but it gives errors when unstuffing.

Would anyone have the drivers stored somewhere please?

Thank you

Both "The Unarchiver.app" and "Stuffit Destinations.app" in macOS Monterey on my Hackintosh can decompress the "ORB-1-3b1-Localized-12-8.99.sit" file from
 https://www.macintoshrepository.org/27863-orb-drive-scsi-

But I think you are looking at "Castlewood_ORB.sit_.hqx" from
 https://www.macintoshrepository.org/80066-castlewood-orb-drive-drivers-software
If you change "sit_" to "sit" then "The Unarchiver.app" and "Stuffit Destinations.app" can decompress it.

I think you might prefer "The Unarchiver.app" over "Stuffit Destinations.app" because it's more simple or compact?
