Spent a few hours messing with it today and I got it working! Looks like I had an incompatible TDM plugin (MPEG Decoder bla bla). I moved the plugin out of my DAE Plug-Ins folder and no more crashes in Logic Pro 6!
Did you ever got working MPEG encoder on MIX in Protools?
Did anyone got working MPEG Decoder plug on a Protools24/MIX?
On LE it hanged the setup !

It works on PT 5.1.3 but crashes Logic when running in TDM mode. Not sure what to use it for though, do you have any info about it?
-
I guess it could work on a 5.1 mix setup ???
I only use stereo mixing ...
-
does the plugin start? screenshot? the about window?
-
mpeg audio import as plug-in sounds strange, but i can assure you that "encoder/decoder" is the correct filename.
can it be that it is for some avid video PCI card?
-
No. it adds MP3 export and import functionality to Pro Tools. I use it reguarly to export projects straight to MP3. It adds MP3 as a new "File Type" in the "Bounce" window.
So nothing revolutionizing, but quite nice

ah, i misread, i understood it does not work for you either.
so they put the former mp3 export option in a h-tdm plug-in, fine.

It crashes Logic Pro 6 when I run it in TDM mode, but it works fine in Pro Tools.

Inside "Digidesign" folder (or extensions) there is a plugin folder and a codec folder.
One thing is the export/import of MP3 (needs the codec in codec folder) and other is the MPEG Decoder Plugin.
On LE (AM-III, Digi001 and M-Box) at least the plug hangs the system.
On Stereo Mixdown (Mixer?) on MIX it hangs...
Maybe it works on 5.1
