I'm not an audio guy, but I assume this is something SDL_mixer mentions to be compatible with?

SDL_mixer is only of interest for software developers, though (especially those doing SDL ports for Mac OS 9, like @laulandn and I are doing).

interesting find... but what can it do what quicktimeplayer can´t? ;)
