Title: Networking MIDI in OS 9.2.2
Post by: kurzyMIDI on September 28, 2024, 05:00:50 PM
Hi everyone! Long-time DOS/Windows user from the '80s here, and I recently bought my first Mac in over 40 years... absolutely loving the experience so far! It's a Power Mac G4 Quicksilver 933MHz, paired with a Digi 001. I've got both OS 9.2.2 and OSX Tiger installed.

One feature I'm really enjoying in Tiger is the ease of setting up virtual MIDI ports and sending them over the network to my Windows PC using Audio MIDI Setup. I'm wondering if something similar is possible in OS 9.2.2, using software only?

Thanks in advance for any help!

there is no generic solution for OS9, so it is limited to programming enviroments and/or OSC clients.
