ftp://ftp.steinberg.net/dist/product_updates/macintosh/asio/asio_dav_3.02b.hqx (New DAV ASIO Driver fixes problems with VST and the built-in output on some Power Macintoshes and clones)
anyone got these?
"The problem between Steinberg and Digidesign is rather vague. In fact, Steinberg say
that the AM III is VST compatible, BUT Digidesign pretends that it is not the case because they don't have
any intention to give the first level AM III driver to Steinberg, in order to develop the ASIO driver, so what
can we do ??? For the moment, I don't work in "Full Duplex" : Thanks to Digidesign and Steinberg ! "

Yeah, they had a bit of a chilly relationship those two. That's the reason I went away from Cubase to Logic some 20+ years ago or so. Logic has built in support for DAE and Direct I/O (Digidesigns proprietary low latency, non-TDM driver), so no ASIO whoes. There is a quite buggy ASIO to Direct I/O driver about and it works well enough. It's what I use when I need to do stuff in Cubase on my 24|MIX rig.
