Title: G4 450 cube - without PSU
Post by: ubergrafik on July 08, 2024, 01:28:22 AM
Hi,

so, as I continue down the rabbit hole, I have acquired a G4 cube. I have no idea if it is any good, and it didn't come with a PSU.

I am wanting to at least power it up somehow to see if it is functional enough to get a permanent power solution for.

So, what are my options at this stage? It has a round four hole socket for power, it seems.

Thanks!

I borrowed a PSU from someone and can confirm that the Cube I have boots happily (into linux currently...)

After looking at the post from aBc, I think I will get the third party PSU mentioned in post #17...

Does anyone see a reason NOT to do it - keeping in mind that I WON'T be using the ADC port at all...

e.g. can someone confirm that the pins, polarity etc. are correct?

Hi - has anyone got any thoughts on using the following for a cube:

e.g. anyone tried it or can confirm that it will be ok? I contacted mouser to try and get a pin out for it, but that seemed too hard for them sadly...

Thanks!
