so does anybody remember Connectix Virtual Game Station? it would be nice to have full compatibility with PS1 titles (would love to see FFIX and FFVI running myself) i would think you would have to decompile it am i right? is it even possible in 2024?

Hi snes1423,
It is true the official compatibility list is not covering every game in the PS1 library but the introduction says that other games may work:
https://web.archive.org/web/20020602010334/http://www.connectix.com/products/cvgs_rgl.html
So it could be interesting to use this thread to log which game has troubles and what are the exact symptoms (crash, glitches, ...).
However, except if it is a trivial adjustment, it may be "simpler" to port an opensource PS1 emulator with a better compatibility list than poke in the dark with VGS where no sources are available.

interesting point has anyone tried to port ePSXe in the past version 1.6.0 runs like a dream on a latitude c600 with a 8MB videocard and there is opengl support and its open source
