i have a synthesis patch i'd really like to run here that requires supercollider 2.x
unfortunately i still don't have a machine that will boot os9 natively...
i've found a k'd 2.2.7 on macintosh repository, but it won't load under classic env on tiger.
error while verifying your authorization. specified volume doesn't exist. result code: -35
is anybody else running SC on os9?
any ideas on where to go from here...?
best,
elin

some of the older cracks worked by resetting the demo, which under circumstance do not work in emulators or classic enviroment because the relative paths are different.
but james set 2.2.16 free in 2001 when he started working at apple: https://audiosynth.com/
it should work with the prosonic ASIO, but MIDI probably doesnt.

unfortunately the audio in SC under classic is stuttering. i don't have problems with audio in any other applications. it's not due to high cpu usage, either; it's making a weird rapid popping sound.
is it possible to change audio settings in classic at all? :(
[edit: had to install the asio driver. see here: https://scsynth.org/t/using-sc2-in-sheepshaver-os9-emulator/4715/14

if anyone knows more about it, then frederik. :)
but don“t worry too much about classic issues. soon you have a native system and things will mostly run as they should.
