Hello to all,
I am still working on "X" storage (SATA, ATA, NVMe, SAS) drivers, firmware and SIM.
But increasingly I have to pay attention to things of lesser fun, mostly related to a labor claim in the USA against my former employer who resides in the State of Illinois.
In addition there is some local paperwork-"fun" with unrelated country regarding a future citizenship (a future third passport).
I think the earliest time I can seriously work on the Mac is January-February of 2024.

Hello,
since we are talking about SATA and OS9 I wonder if a similar work could be done also for the PCMCIA cards based on Sil 3512 chipset like the Firmtek/Seritek 1SM2 (now unavailable)
A driver for OS9 exist on the site but is seems soft-locked to the 1SM2 only. I think that card act simply as an adapter and no real firmware is onboard so if it is a way to hack the Seritek/Firmtek OS9 driver making it universal (for all and only the cards with the same Silicon Image chipset, of course) it would be very helpful in allow also the Powerbook to connect to SATA devices.
Am I dreaming or it could be really done?
Many thanks in advance.

Somebody already figured out a firmware to flash on non-firmtek cards. Not sure it would work with PCM ia adapters but who knows?
Sataman hasn't been on this forum in at least a year. I heard he's active on 68kmla.
