Hello friends!
There are Two Marathon G4 PowerRack (Quicksilver) 1GHz generation, a lot of memory, several ATTO cards (UL3D/UL4D) included, as well as a Stealth Serial Port.
I can’t show you photos because these two computers are in a warehouse in LA to which I don’t have access right now.
Payment by PayPal
I see the amount is around $300 excluding shipping to your address in US (two boxes 42.80 lb | 20"(L) x 20"(W) x 8"(H))

International possible?

Are the marathon g4 Powerrack still available? i'm only interested in the marathon hardware rack, not the G4.
-
there were variations in the hardware for each g4 model... what would be the use if not use it with the model it was configured for may i ask?
-
Yes to be clear, this is not the same as the handles that could be placed on any g4 to put them in a rack. These are full rack mount cases designed to have the internals from a G4 transplanted into them.
They're also hideously ugly IMO compared to the Apple cases... Basically just ATX rack mount cases with custom backplanes.

Would either way love to have one in my life and put my MDD in it ;)

i am actually looking for one, but it should be already in europe of course.
and i also would not mind to get a case which is a bit deeper (or higher?) so that i can add some extra modifications/periphery.
my knowlegde about topics such as "airflow" or "grounding" is around zero. is that a problem when i use a case not specifically made for a quicksilver?

I can't speak specifically for the QS, but I would think if you can find riser studs that match up with the logic board, you could do some punching and screwing with a standard PC case backplane to make it work. Absolute worst case, you can always make something out of wood or plexi.

did you already unload these? I'm not looking for any more powermacs, but I am interested in a Marathon Rack for my existing PM G4 (Sawtooth)

so happy to own one. btw a Marathon is an official Apple Clone.
I have never seen a G4 rackmount other than one that replaces the rack ears. if it is a total re-gutting then i guess their standard Gseries 4U rack would be the candidate.
-
oooooh! Thanks for the clarification. I never knew about those. I was just looking for the rack-adapters that replace the G4 handles so you can throw it in a rack.

found it!!!!!
its a regular rackmount chassis used a ton back then i think also by CubeTec for their windows x86 plugins thingy
