Title: Which version dropped VST support?
Post by: Syntho on February 11, 2014, 10:58:27 PM
I read that Logic 6 dropped VST support, but I'm not sure if they mean version 6.4 and up or not. Maybe version 6.3 and prior can still run VST instruments. Can someone confirm this?

I want to use a convolution reverb plugin and as far as I know, Space Designer was only available in AU format from version 6.4 and up. Space Designer came stock with 6.4, but maybe for users of previous versions it was possible to buy Space Designer and use it on an old version. I know that at least a demo of Space Designer worked in 6.3.

If that's the case, I'd like to use 6.3 or prior for VST access and somehow get Space Designer working. I think I'm gonna be SOL on that one though.
