Title: MDD 2003 and OS9
Post by: part12studios on February 18, 2021, 06:59:20 AM
Hi there, I found a good price for a 2003 MDD and I confirmed (though the 2003 is probably a giveaway) that this one does have FW800 ports.  They are asking $60 and I think I might as if they would do $50.

It's missing HDD so it's kind of a risk, but it looks clean and well taken care of so I have no reason to doubt it will work.

It's been awhile since I've approached this subject, but IIRC it was said that a FW800 units will work, just clocked down to FW400 speed.

This is a small tradeoff for sure, but the question is will it just install OS9 with this drawback, or is there some hacking / tweaking of files, etc for the installation of a standard 9.2.2 ISO image on the system?
