Title: Apple Mac Mini A1103 running 0S 9.2- Wireless keyboard/mouse question
Post by: ac37129 on January 23, 2021, 10:38:19 AM
Hi I am new to this board and recently bought a Mini A1103 and got OS 9.2 successfully installed. I hope I posted this in the right place as I am trying to find a modern manufacturer who sells a compact usb wireless keyboard/mouse combo that is compatible with OS 9 that is not used but brand new. I know most modern keyboards don't provide drivers and I can only guess the old 0S 9 would need these or extensions installed. Does Logitech make a model available on Amazon, or would I just be better off finding a used combo on ebay somewhere? I have searched amazon on new items that say they are mac compatible but in the world of PowerPC you know there are limitations.

Thanks,
Alex

Bump, I have the exact same question and I can report the Logitech K400 is not recognized by Mouseware in Mac OS 9. The comments on the ‘Garden suggests it needs to have XP or 10.4/10.5 compatibility. Sadly there is no site like Everymac that tracks every Logitech keyboard/trackpad combo ever made…

I did configure a bluetooth keyboard (a Nintendo Pokemon one made for DS) on a Mac Mini and was able to use it on OS 9.
The way to get it working was simply to paired it under OS X then reboot under OS 9. The keyboard was still paired then and working.

If this can help you :)
