does anyone have any experience using firewire peripherals via scsi?
or perhaps the opposite.. using scsi peripherals via firewire?

I use a Belkin F5U541 FW to SCSI adapter with my sampler. Works well, but only supports a single SCSI device at a time.

anything with the name SCSI on it gets jacked to 500% price because its all used in industrial application
and everyone wants to make ebay into a lottery cash in

I got mine used at a used music store for $5 recently.

they're also really popular with the kids making music these days. Now that bands like Com Truise are making 80s-90s synths popular again, the prices, and related accessories, have shot through the roof. I cannot say that I have not made a little profit off them in the process either :P
