Metro 6.3.3 last OS9 version.

This prerelease (Metro and Metro SE) still works under OS 9 but we are no longer providing Tech support for OS 9. This will most likely be the last OS 9 release as it is getting increasingly harder to support OS 9.

i think it would be a good idea to add cakewalk metro versions to the site

cakewalk metro 4 1/29/1998
cakewalk metro 5 7/24/1999 http://www.macworld.com/article/1014073/metro5.html
cakewalk metro 6 12/21/2002

these versions are all for mac os 9..
we dont have any of them posted of course
but there were a number of people that actually used this software
perhaps they may need it to access old projects etc

i tried before to track this down  (http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php?topic=1259.0)
but had no luck

It will be interesting to post the 6.x version, which I don't have...
The version 5 is posted on Macintosh Garden.
and the version 4.x not worth it, really.

alot of people would say that about EVERYTHING on this site mactron! they would say that about mac os 9 itself first;)
but if it records + plays midi it can be used to make music... in any style by anyone
like i said, perhaps some users have some old works to recover in that saved file format

cakewalk is a good company.. they have been around for a very long time.. and been partners with roland for a very long time
even tho their product didnt "win the race" and become the "Best" product they have still been around and are still part of the history
of creating music on the mac!

and VST 2.0 on mac os 9?

VST 2.0 and AudioUnit Support

VST is a trademark of Steinberg Soft- und Hardware GmbH

Support for VST instruments (VSTi) with up to 32 outputs and 8 stereo aux busses.
Convert VST Instruments to audio quickly and easily by mixing, rendering or freezing tracks.
Real-Time low latency software audio play-through with effects while recording dry signal.
Mapping of MIDI controllers to effects parameters for real time control. This, for example, enables the use of a foot controller to control the Wah effect of a real time amp simulator plug-in.
