Software Developers' Kit

The Romulus & Remus cards may be accessed via the Communications ToolBox, the Device Manger or directly. Full information, including C code examples and MPW Utilities, is available on request.

The hinton instruments site,  explains that they have a software development kit for MPW.

if anyone has a copy of this, having acquired it in the past, please share!

obviously this kit would allow programmers access to the hardware of the megawolf serial PCI cards this doesnt affect a large population of users, due to the lack of availability of these cards,
so im not going to hold my breath that this will show up.

might be able to email Graham Hinton (a name i saw on a few ancient newsgroup posts)

i wonder if it could apply to other pci serial cards such as they keyspan sxpro
basically accessing a serial interface on a pci bus..
i dont really see that being accomplished in too many radically different ways

It can be very different even radically way, but I think we can have with that SDK some hints how to support Keyspan better. Keyspan has support OS 9 already, but not with AMM or OMS.

it would be very interesting if anyone could aquire the skill neccessary to create a new Serial PCI solution that could do what the megawolf had done, and interface with Freemidi + OMS

It is RS232 adapter for PC. It has nothing to do with serial cards made by Megawolf card.

i was trying to theorize on whether any of these items could be made to work on a mac...
because the pc ones are easily obtainable.. and the mac ones are becoming rare and impossible to find
