Title: 733 QS + 1.6Ghz Newertech Upgrade Issues

I am trying to replace the stock 733Mhz with a Newertech 1.6Ghz upgrade but I can only get to a black screen after its installation.
The steps followed is:
1. Boot stock 733 with Firmware CDRom
2. Apply all firmware.
3. Powerdown
4. Replace CPU with 1.6GHz
5. Power On
6. Black screeen.

not sure if that is realy the case here, but both powerlogix and newertech recommended the common open firmware workaround if you have trouble with MacOs.

however, did you boot into OSX already so that you can update firmware and stuff from there?
