Hello,
I dont get any further.
I have installed the hard disk from another Power Mac as second disk under OS X 10.3.9. The hard drive is already formatted with Mac OS Extended.
The file freshDragInstall.img.sitx I copied on it and unpacked.
Then everything is switched off and only the one hard disk connected. Unfortunately, there is no boot. I thought this might be due to the jumper of the hard drive. Suddenly some settings tried, but without improvement.
What am I doing wrong ?

one reason could be you need to rebless the drive and check in disk utils if the drive /partition is indeed bootable

Everything okay. It runs by the Mac OS 9.2.2 Universal Install.iso file from this page :) I could actually first install it on a hard disk by my Quicksilver. Then I changed the hard drive and inserted into my other Power Mac. Works just fine :) Now I am satisfied and am happy to work with OS 9 again :)

Glad you got it working but a few things come to mind from my testing installs of 9.2.2 on my set of Classic G3 & G4s. I had install issues with it and my USB PCI card in my DP 1GHz "QuickSilver", I also could only install and run effectively with 10.4 or 9.2.2 due to the GeForce 5200 in it. Had interesting install problems on my G3 "Blue & White" which I thought innicially were an issue with the ATI Radeon 7000 but actually turned out to be an issue with the ATA 100/133 PCI card I had been running in it for larger drives and OS X.
If anybody needs or wants them for testing I have the Official Apple Recovery Disks 1 & 2 as well as the Legacy recovery. Retail Copy of 9.0.4, Apple copy of 9.2.1, OS 10.2 and 10.3 CDs, Apple retail of 10.4 CD set and 10.5 DVD-DL for testing. They were very handy in working out issues across all my G4 and G3.

Great :)
I was able to continue the installation only after I changed the graphics card and extended the RAM :) Now the hard drive works also on another Power Mac with little RAM and a worse hard drive :) The installation is already somewhat demanding on the system i think :)
