When my QS 933 goes to sleep (manually or automatically), it shuts down some time later!
Not sure exactly when as I've never caught it in the act.
It will wake from sleep though if tried within a couple of minutes.
When searching, I read reports of freezing while asleep, but this is a full shutdown - no noise, no video, no power lights, restarts via power button as normal.
When the machine is restarted, the 'not shutdown properly...' warning appears, so it doesn't appear to be a graceful shutdown.
The other bizarre thing is that the clock gets reset (it normally holds the time fine).
The machine is quite new to me, so no history, and has a reasonably fresh 9.2.2 install (from 'OS9General').
Normal GeForce4MX is fitted. The Nvidia drivers are all v3.5.2.
The 'scheduled shutdown instead of sleep' option is NOT enabled.
Apart from this issue the Mac seems to be working fine.
Thanks.

no idea, but my 933 turned itself off yesterdaxy during OS9 boot (instead of rebooting, which would have been the normal reaction to a corrupt system folder)

Might wanna try a new battery.

indeed.

The battery is fine, and zapping the PRAM did not help.
I found it shuts down after about 4 mins. I suspect it is a PSU issue...

I would think it is the PSU as well, maybe the 5V standby rail?
