Did you know, SoundDiver 2.1 runs well on older Macs, it's 68k and PPC. Version 3 was all PPC and no 68k. Although it is rather slow with screen updates so editing is slow, I run it on a IIfx OS7.5 and some Classic Macs.
One problem could be "adaptations" are not backward compatible I believe, so a synth editor "adaptation" for version 3 is unlikely to work on version 2.1
There is a big advantge to running version 2.1, top secret info, once installed doen't need "authorisation" from CDrom :o

hi englishmac
are u saying u are using the versions above? or did u have it already from another source..
just because id like to know if the package i pasted works or not
obviously i know (we know) the links above are no longer current, but my question is,
did u grab these when the links were working, did u test it and confirm that it patches ok and works fine?
thanks;)

I have the cdroms I bought new, I'd rather not try and install any other versions so not to cause conflicts, the cdrom authorization can be a hassle, everything is working good a the moment!
I have 2.1 on old 68k Macs, 3.0 PPC on Macs and Win 98/XP
-
Are you sure that 2.1 doesn't need an authorization every once in a while? The CD gives me a message saying to keep the CD around to authorize it every now and then and it makes me do just that. So does 3.0.
-
Yup 2.1 +68k does ask, just click "OK" and job done!
-
ahh 68k must be different frm ppc.. syntho is using ppc
-
this thread - needs to be moved to logic/emagic area of the board!!
maybe we need a dedicated sound diver area under the logic zone to keep all these scattered threads on sound diver together

Awesome, thank you, I'll check it.
added later:
Is it FAT?
I'm interested in 68k version to, is there any chance to post a working version?

Not sure if it is a FAT application - best bet would be to try - I don't have anymore of the 68k Macs - sold them ages ago.
Also below are the updates to some of the Sound Diver files - namely 3.0.5.1 and 3.0.5.2 I found on the internet - these just have to be dragged into the Sound Diver names folder after unzipping.
