Someone locally is selling a Mac Colour Classic. They say it worked well until it went into storage but then it stopped working.
Is this computer of value? I'll bid & get it fixed if it is. Does anyone know the most likely reasons it stopped working?

Several years ago it was at $200 or similar, so yes it was a collector item. But I don´t know recent prices.
If it really worked well before, I´d say most likely it is a dead battery or a broken HD. Of course it may also be that there are serious problems, for example if it wasn´t completely dry there, the PCB may be corroded somewhere, …

I never trust what 'THEY' say! ;D Like Mat says, it might be 'nothing' but it could be something more serious... hard to tell. A 'broken' old computer should be CHEAP or close to FREE!! ;D ;D

The bid is currently $11. I guess I just like that classic shape. :) If the price stays low I guess I'll take the risk but if it goes up I'll walk away.
