Title: Boot disc requested
Post by: Blackholemac on December 08, 2015, 10:03:54 AM
I am looking get my hands on the original Software Install CD for a PowerBook (FireWire) model that was G3-based. Now, here's where it gets harder...I am looking for the 9.0.2 version only. I already have the 9.0.4 version. I also prefer the Software Install as opposed to the Restore. If anyone can upload that for me, I'm willing to upload anything that I possess or can find easily in return. Sure I know I could use a retail or universal restore, but I am trying to get this specific disc.

Basically I have almost amassed the Mac OS install disc for every model of Mac from the Beige G3 to the Power Mac G4 (MDD 2003). Only on machines that supported the pre-OS X operating system though. DieHard's got me beat on supporting the MDD (FW800) model for sure. I didn't think that possible. Anyhow, I am missing two discs from my collection...the G3-based PowerBook (FireWire) running 9.0.2 and the iBook (original) running 9.0.4. If anyone has those, I will have built an entire collection.

I may have the iBook 9.0.4 one still around somewhere.  I'll check when I get home today.

The original ibook ran 8.6.  The one that did 9.0.4 was te clamshell with firewire. I do in fact have that disc though.
I have the installer and the restore disc's.  I'll try to upload them fo r you.
