Title: OS 9 won't boot after mac alley mouse install
Post by: tyronesdaddy on November 24, 2015, 01:45:49 PM
Several years ago I got a Mac Alley replacement  mouse for my MDD 867.  The mouse came with an installation disc, so I ran the installer and found that the original OS9.2.2 installation was no longer accessible.
I could still run Classic but could not boot back into OS9. It seems that other people have had the same problem with Mac Alley.    I sent several emails to Mac Alley but never got any replies.  I installed OS 9 on another disc and everything was working fine until the disc died the other day (stupid Seagate drives).  Is there any way to repair the original OS 9 installation on the boot drive or do I need to do another install on another partition?

You may have "unblessed" the OS9 System Folder. Try running this.
