Title: Playback issue with Logic 4.7
Post by: greene on July 14, 2015, 11:25:44 PM
[noob question alert]

I'm completely new to older daws, and recently installed logic 4.7 on an old powermac. However, my installation doesn't actually playback midi events in time. Even the metronome skips around, noticeably off-tempo. Is there a reason for this / is this a common problem with daws of this era?

The system I'm running this on is a sawtooth G4 with a 350 mhz processor, 8xx mb of ram.

Also does anyone know the system requirements for Logic 5 and 6?

BTW... I haven't really used Logic for much of anything and don't currently use MIDI for anything either but your timing 'problem' should NOT be happening as you describe. Someone will be along shortly to help straighten it out... in the mean time maybe you could describe your system in a little more depth, such as  what interface you're using and how you have it all hooked up etc.
